The New Family

We are different and our family unit has changed. Where children live can be split over many houses or countries ~ and, our home as parents can be mobile for our income. We sometimes raise children who were born to other partners or other people, biologically. These radical changes in how our families look or behave can leave us feeling our lives are overwhelming or complex.

Our families deserve a focus on bonding and loving communication.  When you work with a family therapist to support a change in your home, there are new compassionate eyes and a directive facilitator guiding the acceptance and change. You are given direct experience of the change you are looking for, and then supported towards implementing the change across family relationships.

Integrative family therapy calls on tradition, bonding, and getting to know a family – using clinical models to make the most holistic and accepting form of dynamic change. There are many traditional models of psychodynamic and behavior change used in family therapy.  I use a family therapy model based on simple building blocks of human connection and acceptance of attachment styles and how they’re expressed in multiple cultures.  I choose to use deep psychodynamic method while personally holding a more modern acceptance of all forms of raising children and adult relationships in families. There are other modalities that your family might need.  I can support you in finding what your family needs.

Some weeks are spent in 3 countries,
Some days are spent at work with the baby and the dog,
Some conversations involve 5 adults and 1 marriage.
